Kinosaurus
One of the pioneers of Jakarta’s micro-cinema scene, Kinosaurus is part of the Aksara compound in Kemang. The Kinosaurus logo was derived from a drawing by the founder’s son, Jiro. By combining Kino (German for film) and Dinosaurus (Indonesian for dinosaur), Kinosaurus was born: an eccentric Brachiosaurus carrying a movie projector on its back. The playful logo also fits the spirit of Kinosaurus: a family-friendly community of movie enthusiasts that aims to educate and introduce eclectic and indie films, both local and international, to the audience in Jakarta. The Kinosaurus logo is used in the brand’s collaterals and merchandise, such as t-shirts, pins and stamp cards, hinting at the micro-cinema’s welcoming and chummy quality.
